🏡 Context

As someone who hasn’t moved often, my room decor has been pretty stagnant, left the way my parents have furnished them years ago. Thus, when I settled into a new apartment for college, I moved in with high eagerness and ambition to make my room look the best. However, I quickly realized this would not be easy, and this was the same for my housemates as well.

Moving is hard and making your room look like the “dream room” isn’t easy.

Feather is a furniture and home decor rental service where users can rent items listed on their site for a 1 month, 3 month, or 12 month lease.

Feather hopes to make the furnishing experience convenient, so I wanted to see if they could solve the disparity between my ideal versus real room. And to do this, I asked a few friends who were struggling with the same question—’why is it so hard to make our rooms look nice?’
